on the way back from campbell yesterday i listened to two great songs that address our materialism as americans/westerners in two very different ways. one with humor and satire (ben sollee) and one with a stark, serious good riddance (eddie vedder cover from 'into the wild' soundtrack)...art/music is able to address problems and start conversations, internal or external, better than almost any other medium that i know...
