Never Said A Mumbling Word...

Is 53:7-8
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people?

How much do I like to pray with the psalmist in the morning, "Lord, open my lips and my mouth will proclaim your praise!" Lord, Let me truthfully pray for you to shut my mouth, even while suffering injustice. Let me understand and enact the strength and faithfulness of silence and submission. I don't need to defend myself, my intellect, my righteousness, or You before man.
