i thought it would be nice amid a lot of changes to develop a journaling (blogging) discipline as well as to chronicle what's going on with my faith, family, school, and other blogo-sphere banalities...
ps...aside from one of my all-time favorite bible passages (is 55 as a whole), yes, sufjan steven's best song on his best album was also a key influence towards the title of this blog. reasoning being, 'get to the root of things'--> i like sufjan-->i like seven swans-->i like the opening track-->i really like the verses that inspired said opening track. there you have it. get to the influence of the influence of the influence.
